01About This Warranty

This warranty is provided by TOP OPTIC LTD. Excellence Lenses is a brand of TOP OPTIC LTD.

It applies across the Excellence Lenses range: LEVEL A, LEVEL B and LEVEL C.

This is an additional commercial warranty. It does not limit or replace any mandatory rights you may have under applicable Israeli consumer protection law.

02Where It Applies

  • The warranty applies to Excellence lenses purchased in Israel through an authorised optical retailer supplying Excellence Lenses.
  • It applies to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

03Warranty Period

The warranty period starts on the original date of purchase of your Excellence lenses.

  • Breakage warranty: 2 years from the original date of purchase.
  • Coating warranty: 3 years from the original date of purchase.

A replacement lens does not start a new warranty period. It remains covered only for the time remaining on the original warranty, calculated from the original purchase date.

042-Year Breakage Warranty

If an Excellence lens breaks during the 2-year warranty period, including accidental breakage such as breakage caused by impact, you are entitled to one replacement of that lens.

  • One replacement per individual lens during the original warranty period.
  • The replacement applies to the broken lens only.
  • Loss and theft are not covered.
  • Damage to, or replacement of, the eyeglass frame is not covered.

053-Year Coating Warranty

Excellence lenses are covered for 3 years against defects in the coating layers supplied as part of the original Excellence lens specification.

Covered coating defects

  • Peeling
  • Delamination
  • Deterioration or another defect in the coating that is determined to be a coating defect, rather than physical damage to the lens

Not coating defects

  • Scratches. Scratches are not a coating defect and are not covered by the coating warranty.
  • Damage caused by impact or improper use. This is physical damage to the lens, not a coating defect.

The coating warranty provides a maximum of one warranty replacement per individual lens for an approved coating defect during the original warranty period. A coating defect should be reported within a reasonable period after it is discovered, and within the warranty period.

06How to Make a Claim

Warranty claims begin with the optical professional or retailer who originally supplied your Excellence lenses.

  1. 01
    Visit your optical professional
The retailer who originally supplied your lenses.
  2. 02
    Bring the affected lens
The broken lens, or the lens with the coating defect.
  3. 03
    Show proof
Either your Excellence warranty card or valid proof of purchase.

An Excellence warranty card should be provided at the time of purchase. Valid proof of purchase is also accepted.

Warranty claims cannot be submitted through the Excellence Lenses website.

07Assessment and Replacement

Your optical professional may receive and submit the claim. TOP OPTIC LTD reserves the right to determine whether the issue qualifies as a manufacturing or coating defect covered by this warranty.

If your claim is approved, the affected lens will be replaced.

  • Where reasonably available, the replacement is made using the same Excellence lens level and an equivalent specification to the original lens.
  • If the original product or specification is no longer available, TOP OPTIC LTD may provide an equivalent replacement.
  • The replacement is based on the original lens prescription and specification. A change in your prescription is not a warranty defect and does not create an entitlement to a new prescription under this warranty.
  • The warranty does not provide a cash refund or credit.

08Costs

TOP OPTIC LTD does not charge for the replacement lens when a warranty claim is approved.

Any independent fitting, dispensing or service charges applied by the optical retailer are not part of this warranty and may be subject to the retailer’s own policy.

09Your Rights

This commercial warranty is provided in addition to your rights under applicable Israeli law, and does not limit any mandatory consumer rights.
